Overcoming My Struggle with Closing My First Business: How to Re-align Goals and Find Your Passion Project Again

I struggled with closing my first business for a long time

I spent so much time spinning my wheels asking myself:

"What could I have done differently?"

"Maybe if I'd tried harder?"

"What was I thinking, I'm not (fill in the blank) enough."

It can be tempting to get lost in the details when things don't seem to be going our way, especially when it comes to pursuing our passions.

When that happens to me, I take a step back and ask myself:

  • What's working in my life right now?

  • What isn't working?

  • What is the most important thing to you right now about your lifestyle?

Answering those questions have helped me time and time again get back in touch with why I'm passionate about what I do and how I can realign my goals. It's not only just important for career decisions, but for your wellbeing too - understanding what drives you forward is key for staying motivated.

When I closed my first business, it was because I realized that the juice business wasn't my true passion – and that taking a step back to figure out why I was doing it was the only way forward. It was then that I embraced this idea of creating something from within; something that made sense for me from start to finish. Instead of letting doubts rule over me - thoughts like "Am I really good enough?" or "What did I do wrong?" - now everything starts with self-reflection and trust in the power of knowledge and growth.

If you find yourself stuck in this same place, know that an aligned passion project is waiting for you – even if it feels like a distant dream for now. There are so many different ways to express your creative vision and make it tangible - so use your curiosity as a compass on this journey of discovery!

And hey, if you need help finding it or making it happen, I'm here!
